Renato Carvalho has over 12 years of professional experience in the software engineering field. In 2021, they joined iownit capital and markets, Inc. as Development Team Lead. In 2020, they worked as Senior Full-Stack Developer at bolttech, where they were responsible for the maintenance and improvement of existing codebase for Digital Insurance Brokerage, and design and development of new applicational tools. Also in 2020, they worked as Senior Full-Stack Developer at Runtime Revolution, where they were responsible for the development of new features on a long running bespoke project. In 2016, they joined Readiness IT, where they held various roles such as Solution Architect, Senior Technical Lead, and Technical Lead. In 2015, they worked as Researcher at COST Association - European Cooperation in Science and Technology, where they were responsible for research and development of a novel social network application pilot. In 2013, they worked as Project Intern at PGS Software S.A., where they were responsible for full-stack development in Java and PHP. In 2011, they worked as Public Relations Officer at Erasmus Student Network Portugal. In 2009, they worked as Research Assistant at Universidade da Beira Interior, where they were responsible for computational optimisation, data acquisition and analysis, and CAD simulation.
