Philip Roveto

Philip joined IP Checkups in 2019 to aid in the analysis and distilled depiction of patents describing natural and synthetic therapeutic agents. His work furthers the comprehensive summarization of millions of patents and publications to meet the needs of IPC’s clientele.

Phil earned a B.A. with honors in chemistry from Boston University and worked as a medicinal chemist at Amgen Biotechnology for 7 years. His work contributed to seven publications and three US patents including VEGF/KDR targets towards angiogenic-related cancer and delivery of a p53-focused clinical trial candidate.

Phil is currently completing his PhD in Civil Engineering with a focus on material science and bioengineering. His exploration of the physiochemical interactions between designed surfaces and bacterial cells have informed biofilm engineering towards bio-remediation and antimicrobial surfaces for use in medical environments.
