Gretchen Haertsch

Gretchen Haertsch is an accomplished freelance writer and writing coach with extensive experience in children's writing, specializing in biography and historical fiction, along with freelance contributions to magazines and business public relations. From 2000 until May 2021, Gretchen served as an adjunct English professor at Arcadia University, advising and teaching undergraduate and graduate students in various writing disciplines, including children's literature and business writing. In addition, Gretchen held the role of Program Coordinator for Early Childhood Education and Educational Leadership at Arcadia University, where notable achievements included fostering relationships with educational leaders, conducting recruitment and retention efforts, and overseeing grant initiatives. Academically, Gretchen holds an MFA in Writing for Children and Young Adults from Vermont College of Fine Arts, an MA in English from Arcadia University, and dual Bachelor's degrees in Communications and Advertising from Penn State University.
