Andre da Costa

Andre Da Costa, Ph.D. has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning several industries and roles. Andre is currently the Director of Corporate Engineering at IP Corporation, where they oversee the supply and distribution of resins, gel coats, and composite materials. Prior to this, they served as the Director of Environmental Health and Safety at Lyten, where they developed and implemented programs to ensure compliance with EHS regulations and improve risk management effectiveness.

Andre also held the position of Director, Global Process Safety at The Lubrizol Corporation, where they provided strategic and technical leadership in the development and implementation of process safety and EHS programs. Andre took on a similar role as the Global Process Safety Manager at H.B. Fuller, where they had oversight and accountability for over 50 sites worldwide.

Before transitioning into corporate roles, Andre worked as a professor at Michigan Technological University, where they taught chemical engineering and safety courses. Andre also established a new membrane research lab during their time there.

Andre's earlier experience includes serving as the Director & Chief Engineer at Pacific Gas and Electric Company, where they developed and implemented process safety management systems and achieved certifications in various international management systems standards. Prior to that, Andre was an Engineering Manager at Chevron Energy Technology Company, where they conducted membrane separation research and led capital projects. Andre also worked as a Process Development Manager at Membrane Technology and Research, leading the development of membrane separation processes and achieving a high funding rate for research projects.

Andre's early career began at Fluor Corporation, where they served as a Process & Project Engineer, leading various engineering projects for Fortune 500 clients.

Andre Da Costa, Ph.D. holds a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from UNSW and a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering from Mendeleyev University of Chemical Technology of Russia. Andre also has a Master of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from Mendeleyev University of Chemical Technology of Russia. In addition to their academic achievements, they have a Certificate from Stanford University Graduate School of Business in their Executive Program. Andre Da Costa also obtained a certification in RC14001/RCMS (Responsible Care Management System)/ISO14001 Lead Auditor from Verrico Associates.
