Mediation and Tribunal Services

The Mediation and Tribunal Services team at the Information and Privacy Commissioner of Ontario handles the resolution of access to information appeals and complaints, particularly when government entities or health care organizations deny requests for access or correction of personal information. The team comprises law clerks, mediators, adjudicators, and tribunal information coordinators, who collaboratively investigate complaints, facilitate mediation between parties, and conduct adjudicative hearings to ensure compliance with Ontario's access and privacy laws.
