Job description

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as General Manager – Products and Innovative Technologies. You will play a pivotal role in leading and managing the development and growth of our product management team. You will be responsible for driving product strategy, product developments, and ensuring that the organisation remains at the forefront of industry advancements and trends. This position involves a blend of strategic planning and team leadership.

The role will be reporting to Executive General Manager of Operations and based at our office at Wetherill Park.

About the role

  • Mentoring and guiding business and product managers, aligning their development with product strategy, and managing resources effectively.
  • Developing and executing a comprehensive product strategy that aligns with company goals, identifying market opportunities, and filling product gaps with innovations.
  • Overseeing the entire product development lifecycle, from concept to launch, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring timely and compliant product launches.
  • Developing and managing product roadmaps, prioritising features and improvements based on needs, impact, and resources.
  • Fostering a culture of innovation within the organisation. Encouraging creative thinking and experimentation to generate new product ideas and improvements to existing products.
  • Managing and negotiating vendor agreements to ensure competitive advantage and profitability while handling market positioning.

About you

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (business, engineering, or similar); MBA or advanced degree preferred.

  • Strong leadership with previous demonstrated min. 5 years’ experience in managing high performing product management / technical teams.

  • 5 years’ experience in Product Management

  • Passion for technology, innovation, and delivering exceptional products

  • Ability to quickly learn and understand technical concepts.

  • High level of written and verbal communication skills.

  • Be able to demonstrate a high level of competency in the management of KPI's, margins and sales figures.

  • Strong project management skills.

  • Willingness to travel as required.

  • Knowledge of MS Office and CRM software.

  • Proven negotiation skills.

  • Proven presentation skills.
