Clare Burgess has extensive experience in the fields of infrastructure and energy project financing, currently serving as a UK Branch Council Member for IPFA since January 2017, where guidance is provided for operations across the UK. Additionally, Clare has been a Board Member for Health & Independent Living Support (HILS) since January 2015, supporting older and disabled individuals across several regions in the UK. As a Partner at Clifford Chance LLP since February 2003, Clare specializes in energy and infrastructure law. Clare has also contributed to HM Treasury, participating as a member of the Expert Panel for the Infrastructure Finance Review from May 2019 to May 2020, and as a secondee within the Corporate and Private Finance Group in 2006-2007. Clare holds an LLB Law (Hons) from The University of Manchester and a Legal Practice Course qualification from Nottingham Law School.
