Masaru Muramatsu

Masaru (Mike) Muramatsu has a diverse work experience spanning several companies and roles. Masaru (Mike) is currently the President at IPG Photonics since February 2018. Prior to this, they worked at ABB from 2009 to 2018, holding various managerial positions such as Robot Systems Manager, Local Business Unit Manager, and Department Manager in the Robotics division. Before joining ABB, Muramatsu worked at DKSH as an Executive Sales Manager from 2006 to 2009. Masaru (Mike) also has experience at Nihon SiberHegner K.K. as a Senior Sales Manager from 2000 to 2005, and at Tomen Corporation as an Assistant Manager in the Industrial Machinery department from 1996 to 1999. Additionally, they worked at Tomen Machinery Corporation as an Assistant Manager from 1993 to 1996, and at Tomen America, Inc as a Sales Executive in 1991. Muramatsu started their career at Tomen Corporation in 1990, where they were involved in sales of industrial machinery and creating semiconductor-related businesses.

Masaru (Mike) Muramatsu has a Master's degree in Electric Engineering from Meiji University, which they obtained from 1988 to 1990. During this time, they focused on Semiconductor Processes. Masaru (Mike) also audited programs in International Business Science at the University of South Carolina in 1991. Prior to their graduate studies, Masaru completed their undergraduate degree in Engineering at Meiji University's Engineering Department from 1985 to 1988. Masaru (Mike) completed their high school education at Sumidagawa High School from 1981 to 1983.
