Patricia Bueno Ortega Vieira

Patricia Bueno Ortega Vieira has extensive experience in finance and operations management. Patricia currently holds the role of Corporate Finance Director Medical & Latam at IPG Photonics since 2023. In their previous role at IPG Photonics from 2019 to 2022, they served as the Head of Latin America Finance & BR Operations, where they supported various businesses in Brazil and Mexico, implementing budgeting and strategic cashflow planning processes.

Prior to IPG Photonics, Patricia worked as the South America CFO and IT Head at Quaker Houghton from 2016 to 2019. Here, they successfully reorganized the Finance and IT areas and achieved a significant reduction in company debt.

Patricia also served as the Head of Finance & HR at C.H. Robinson in 2015 and as a Director at BuenOrtega Assessoria Empresarial from 2013 to 2016, where they provided finance, operational, and compliance consulting services. In this role, they focused on tax planning and compliance, finance and operational processes implementation, and financial valuation and due diligence.

Additionally, Patricia held roles such as Regional CFO & IT Director at UBM Brazil from 2014 to 2015, Executive Latin America Controller at GE Healthcare from 2011 to 2013, and South America Controller and CFO Brasil at INVISTA from 2008 to 2011, where they implemented shared finance services and achieved significant cost savings.

Earlier in their career, Patricia was a Senior Finance Executive and Controller Americas at Honeywell Process Solutions from 2004 to 2008, where they managed a team and was responsible for financial planning, internal controls, and tax planning.

Patricia started their career at Groupe Roullier, where they served in various roles, including CFO and Operations Director. Patricia has demonstrated expertise in M&A, financial planning, cashflow management, compliance, and operational improvement.

Patricia Bueno Ortega Vieira has a strong educational background. Patricia obtained their Master's degree in Corporate Tax Planning from FGV - Fundação Getulio Vargas from 2003 to 2005. Prior to that, they completed their Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Corporate Finance from FGV - Fundação Getulio Vargas from 1999 to 2001. Additionally, they hold a Bachelor's degree in Ciências Jurídicas e Sociais (Law) from Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio Grande do Sul from 1992 to 1997 and a Bachelor's degree in Ciências Contábeis (Economics and Accounting) from Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul from 1988 to 1991.

Furthermore, Patricia has pursued various additional certifications to enhance their skills and knowledge. Patricia completed the Corporate Governance & Capital Markets program at Columbia | SIPA in 2015 and 2016, focusing on compliance. Patricia also attended The Wharton School from 2012 to 2013, specializing in CFO - Strategic Partnering. Additionally, they obtained certifications as a Personal & Professional Coach from Sociedade Brasileira de Coaching in August 2012, and as a Six Sigma - Green Belt from Honeywell in August 2008. Currently, Patricia is pursuing a Conselheira de Administração certification from IBGC.
