André N. Carvalho is a Senior Research Technician at IPMA Instituto Português do Mar e da Atmosfera since November 2013. Prior to this role, André served as a Research Fellow at Faculdade de Ciências da Universidade do Porto from May 2009 to October 2013, focusing on fieldwork in intertidal rocky shores, species identification in marine invertebrates, and the development of marine resource cartography using GIS tools. André holds a Master of Science in Ecology, Environment and Territory from Faculdade de Ciências da Universidade do Porto, obtained in 2010, and a Licentiate degree in Biology, completed in 2008.
