Karen Martin

Karen Martin is an experienced legal professional specializing in intellectual property. Currently serving as SVP and Chief Intellectual Property Counsel at Ipsen since October 2022, Karen has previously held prominent positions including VP and Head of Legal at Kymera Therapeutics from April 2020 to October 2022, and Lead IP Counsel at Takeda from January 2019 to April 2020, during the acquisition of Shire. Prior to that, Karen served as Senior Director and Director of Intellectual Property at Shire from May 2014 to April 2020, and worked at Wolf Greenfield as an Associate, Patent Agent, and Technology Specialist from November 2004 to May 2014. Karen holds a B.S. in Chemistry from Boston College, a Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and a J.D. from Suffolk University Law School.
