Sophie Metteil

Sophie METTEIL has extensive experience in manufacturing sciences and technology, currently serving as the Global Technology Director at Ipsen since July 2010. In this role, Sophie is responsible for defining future technology platforms in collaboration with Pharmaceutical Development, standardizing practices across sites, and overseeing the industrialization of new devices and products. Previous positions at Ipsen include Industrial Development Director and New Products Introduction Manager, where responsibilities included managing product life cycles, process optimization, and leading teams. Prior to Ipsen, Sophie held roles at USIFROID as Directrice des Opérations and Chef de projets, focusing on equipment manufacturing and customer installations. Earlier experiences include consulting at Assystem, where Sophie specialized in qualification and validation for pharmaceutical equipment. Sophie holds an engineering degree in Chemistry with a focus on Biotechnology from Ecole nationale supérieure de Chimie de Rennes.
