Ben Pole

Ben Pole currently serves as the General Manager of Community, Cultural and Economic Development at Ipswich City Council, a position held since 2015, while also acting as the Chief Operating Officer for Economic Development and Marketing. Additionally, Ben is a member of the Leveraging 2032 Working Group for the Council of Mayors (SEQ) since 2022. Prior to these roles, Ben held leadership positions at Gold Coast Tourism Corporation from 2004 to 2015, where responsibilities included directing strategy, marketing, and communications to enhance destination marketing efforts. Earlier career experience includes positions in content and business development at Tranzford Publishing, content and partnerships management at Wilmington Group plc, and online management at Queensland Treasury Corporation. Academically, Ben holds a Master of International Relations from Griffith University, an MBA from RMIT University, and a Bachelor of Communications from Griffith University.
