Shaun Geils

Shaun Geils is the Global Head of Insurance at IQ-EQ. Prior to this, they were the Manager of Captive and ILS Insurance Management at Kane (Cayman) Limited from June 2011 to October 2015. Kane is now part of Artex Risk Solutions. From July 2008 to June 2011, Shaun was the Account Manager of Captives at HSBC Bank (Cayman) Limited - Insurance Management. Prior to HSBC, Shaun was the Financial Controller at Mondi Group from August 2007 to July 2008. Shaun began their career at Deloitte as an Audit Senior in January 2004 before moving to Cayman in 2007.

Shaun Geils has a Higher Diploma in Accounting (Honours) from Rhodes University, as well as a Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) in Accounting from the same school. Shaun is also certified by AIR Worldwide as a Certified Catastrophe Modeler, and by SAICA CA(SA) as a Chartered Accountant.

They are on a team with Abdoulie Jallow - MD, Philippines, Hyder Aboobakar - Director, Business Development, and Chris Robinson - Group CTO. Shaun Geils reports to Mark Pesco, Group CEO.
