Daniel Zimerman

Daniel Zimerman has extensive work experience in the field of cyber security and infrastructure. Daniel is currently the Sr. Director of Cyber Security and Infrastructure at the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) since January 2016. Prior to that, they worked as the Director of Security and Infrastructure at IQ Solutions, Inc. starting in June 2006. Daniel also served as the Director of Cyber Security Services at Z-Tech from June 2005 to June 2006. Before that, they worked as a Sr. Security Analyst at NRC from December 2004 to June 2005, and as a Security Specialist at Jacob and Sundstrom from 2004 to 2005. Their earlier experience includes being the Director of IT at MTI from June 2000 to November 2004, and a Network Engineer at Census 2000 in 2000.

Daniel Zimerman earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Information Systems from the University of Maryland Baltimore County, where they studied from 1997 to 2001. Daniel later pursued a Master of Science degree in Information and Telecommunications Systems at The Johns Hopkins University - Carey Business School, graduating between 2006 and 2008. In addition to their formal education, Daniel Zimerman has obtained various certifications related to cybersecurity, including CEH, CEP, CISA, CISSP, CRISC, Certified Expert Penetration Tester (CEPT), Certified Penetration Tester (CPT), GCIH, GPEN, and ISSAP.
