Adel Nel

Adel Nel has a strong background in the medical field, with over 24 years of experience. They started their career at Ampath Trust in 1997 as a Senior Medical Technologist and worked there for over 11 years. In 2008, they moved to Lancet Laboratories where they held the position of Senior Medical Technologist until 2016.

In 2016, Adel joined MEDICAL SUPPORT SOLUTIONS LIMITED as a Biomedical Technologist and worked there until 2018. During their time at MEDICAL SUPPORT SOLUTIONS LIMITED, they also briefly worked at Iqarus as a Medical Laboratory Technologist.

Since 2018, Adel has been with Iqarus as a Biomedical Scientist. They started in 2018 and are currently working in this role.

Adel Nel obtained a Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Technology/Technician from Tshwane University of Technology. Additionally, Adel has obtained several additional certifications in various fields, including Humanitarian Action, Response and Relief from Coventry University in January 2022, and COVID-19 related certifications from institutions such as Maudsley Learning, FIND, St George's University of London, and the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine. Other certifications obtained by Adel include project management, clinical empathy, ECG assessment, forensic science, and disaster safety.
