Jayanta Sarkar

Jayanta Sarkar began their work experience in 2014 as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Weizmann Institute of Science. Jayanta then moved on to Aalto University in 2018, where they continued as a Postdoctoral Researcher until 2019. In 2019, Jayanta joined IQM Quantum Computers as a Lab Manager and held that role until 2021. At IQM Quantum Computers, they also worked as an Equipment Engineer from 2021 to 2023, where they were involved in developing cleanroom infrastructures and site-planning for equipment installation. Additionally, they served as an Interim Tech Lead for metrology equipment and as an Equipment Manager, leading the Chip fabrication facility team.

Jayanta Sarkar earned a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Physics from Aalto University, completing their studies from 2006 to 2014. Prior to that, they obtained a Master of Science (M.S.) in Physics from the Indian Institute of Science (IISc). Jayanta Sarkar's education in Physics began at Narendrapur Ramakrishna Mission Residential College under Calcutta University.
