Deborah McPhail

Deborah McPhail, PhD, serves as the Director of Medical Writing at IQVIA, where responsibilities include overseeing the preparation of clinical documents and managing a team of Medical Writers across Europe. With a career spanning over two decades, Deborah previously held roles at Quintiles Limited, including Associate Director and Manager of Medical Writing, focusing on operational leadership and project management. Experience also includes serving as a Senior Formulation Scientist at CeNes Drug Delivery and conducting postdoctoral research in thermodynamics and drug delivery systems at the Hannah Research Institute and the University of Strathclyde. Deborah earned a Ph.D. in Biophysical Chemistry from the University of Glasgow and a BSc (Hons.) in Biology from the University of the West of Scotland.
