Luis R. Gardell, PhD, currently serves as Vice President and Global Head of Medical Writing at IQVIA and holds an additional title of Vice President, Operational Effectiveness. Prior to this role, Luis R. Gardell was Senior Director of Global Medical Writing at Thermo Fisher Scientific and held various leadership positions in Global Medical Writing at PPD, including Senior Director, Director, and Associate Director. Previous experience includes key roles at inVentiv Health Clinical, Cara Therapeutics, and ACADIA Pharmaceuticals. Luis R. Gardell completed a PhD in Pharmacology & Toxicology at the University of Arizona College of Medicine – Tucson and holds an MS in Psychology and a BS in Biology & Psychology from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
