Contenia Ruffin (Tina)

Tina Ruffin, MBA has extensive experience in talent learning and development roles. Currently, they are serving as the Director of Talent Learning & Development - Central Region at Sonepar USA, where they collaborate with HR and senior leaders to support the organization's strategic vision. Contenia "Tina" proposes and implements programs for organizational development, employee career development, and succession planning. Tina also provides strategic guidance to leaders on employee engagement and mentors and coaches talent and team members.

Prior to their current role, Tina worked as the Director of Talent and Development at Irby Co., where they were responsible for talent development. Contenia "Tina" also served as the Training and Development Manager, responsible for developing and executing strategies to increase customer satisfaction.

Before that, Tina worked at Direct Auto Insurance as a Corporate Trainer. In this role, they managed a team of 30 sales offices and was responsible for meeting sales targets, improving customer service, and launching new product and marketing strategies.

Earlier in their career, Tina worked at Comcast as a Regional Training Specialist. Contenia "Tina" managed multiple projects and successfully launched improvements into production roll-out.

Tina's professional experience also includes working as a Business Instructor at Antonelli College Jackson Campus, where they taught various business courses and professional development skills to students.

Contenia "Tina" Ruffin, MBA completed their Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Marketing at Mississippi State University from 1991 to 1995. Contenia "Tina" later pursued higher education and obtained a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) in Business Administration and Management, General from the University of Phoenix between 2006 and 2008.

In addition to their academic achievements, Tina Ruffin has also acquired several certifications. In December 2022, they obtained a certification in Unconscious Bias from LinkedIn. In April 2021, they earned the Leadership Essentials Specialist certification from GP Strategies Corporation. Most recently, in January 2023, they became a Professional Certified Coach (PCC) and obtained the Professional Coaching Certification from the International Coaching Federation.
