Kasra Movahedi

Kasra Movahedi is the Director of IRC's Center for Economic Opportunity, a Community Development Financial Institution Loan Fund under the International Rescue Committee, since October 2017. In this role, Movahedi focuses on providing small-dollar, affordable loans to low-income refugees and immigrants to enhance their economic mobility. From February 2004 to October 2017, Movahedi served as a Technical Advisor for Economic Empowerment Programs at the International Rescue Committee, offering technical support across various program areas such as Microenterprise and Workforce Development. Movahedi also held multiple management roles, including Deputy Director, leading initiatives that served approximately 10,000 clients annually with a budget of $8 million. Educational qualifications include a Master's degree in International Business and a Bachelor's degree in Economics, both from the University of Florida.
