Amelia mc Pherson

Amelia McPherson has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Amelia has recently been appointed as the Director of Legal Operations & Programs at Irdeto, a position they assumed in July 2023. Prior to that, they served as the Head of Legal Operations and Programs at Irdeto from February 2022 to July 2023.

Before joining Irdeto, Amelia worked at Albert Heijn as the Information Technology Contract Manager from May 2021 to February 2022.

Earlier in their career, they gained valuable experience at Rivers, where they served as the Governance Manager from September 2017 to February 2022. In this role, they were responsible for legal affairs, corporate governance, risk, compliance, and had a special focus on data privacy and nonprofit organization management.

Amelia also held positions at Deloitte, where they worked as the Third Party Risk Manager from May 2016 to June 2017, and at FirstRand Group, where they were the Legal Contracts Manager from January 2014 to April 2016.

Amelia'scareer started at Norton Rose Fulbright, where they worked as a Candidate Attorney from January 2009 to January 2011.

Throughout their career, Amelia's work has revolved around legal operations, corporate governance, risk management, and compliance. Amelia has also been involved in software asset management, software compliance audits, technology procurement, and legal technology solutions. Amelia'sareas of expertise include supply chain management, technology law, and data privacy.

Amelia McPherson received their Master's degree in Information Technology Law and data privacy from the University of the Witwatersrand in 2016. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree from the University of KwaZulu-Natal between 2005 and 2008.

In addition to their formal education, Amelia also obtained a certification in International Organizations Management from the University of Geneva in September 2020.
