Anti Piracy Investigator - Manager Of Forensics, Cybercrime Cases at Irdeto

Ntsako Baloyi began their work experience in 2011 as a Commercial Crimes Investigator within the South African Police Service (SAPS). Ntsako worked within the Directorate for Priority Crime Investigation, specifically in the Commercial Crime Investigation Unit. During their time at SAPS, Ntsako conducted investigations in both the government and private sectors, achieving a 60% Conviction Rate and a 50% Detection Rate, which exceeded the average within SAPS.

In 2018, Ntsako joined the South African Revenue Service (SARS) as a Fraud Investigator, where they handled evidence, cases, and legal procedures related to fraud. Ntsako remained in this role until 2019.

Later in 2019, Ntsako joined Boxer Superstores as a Manager and Criminal Investigator, focusing on forensics, surveillance, and retail crimes. In this position, they managed various cases, investigated and resolved retail store-related crimes, and represented Boxer Superstores in legal settings. Their role also included working as a liaison with law enforcement. Ntsako's employment with Boxer Superstores lasted until 2020.

Currently, Ntsako works at Irdeto as an Anti Piracy Investigator and Manager of Forensics, Cybercrime Cases. In this role, they serve as the frontline representative in identifying, preventing, participating in the prosecution of broadcast piracy and cybercrime litigation, investigations, legal cases, and anti-piracy projects. Ntsako manages cases from their initial phase through to prosecution.

Ntsako Baloyi has a diverse education history. Ntsako completed their Bachelor of Arts in Forensic Science and Technology with a specialization in Forensic Investigation at the University of South Africa/Universiteit van Suid-Afrika from 2019 to 2022. Prior to that, Ntsako received an Advanced Certificate in Forensic Investigation from Forensic Investigation and Risk Management cc in 2016.

In terms of earlier education, Ntsako obtained a National Diploma in Business Administration and Management, General from Tshwane University of Technology, which they pursued from 2005 to 2009.

In addition to their degrees, Ntsako has also acquired several certifications. Ntsako obtained a certification in Commercial Forensic Law from Northwest University in November 2022. Alongside this, they obtained a certification in Practice Fraud Risk Management from Northwestern University in November 2022. Ntsako also holds a certification in Commercial Forensic IT from Northwest University in December 2021. Lastly, Ntsako earned the designation of Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) from the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE) in June 2016.
