Bertha Mokone

Bertha Mokone has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Bertha started their career as a Technical Data Specialist at Telkom in 1998 and worked there until 2003. Bertha then joined MultiChoice Group, where they held various roles, including Command Centre Controller and Interactive Content Producer from 2004 to 2009. In 2010, they worked briefly as a BTD - EPG Quality Analyst Co-Ordinator at MultiChoice. From 2011 to 2016, Bertha served as an Anti-Piracy Support Specialist and later as a Project Manager, leading important projects such as the Surf Locking Project and the Custom CA project. In 2016, they joined MultiChoice again as a Project Manager and was responsible for projects such as the Commercial legacy box swap project and the Smart Card swap Project. Bertha then joined MultiChoice Group as a Cyber Security - Africa Cyber Piracy Manager and Projects from 2018 to 2019. Currently, Bertha Mokone is working at Irdeto as the Global Irdeto Video Content Protection Manager / Project Manager since March 2019.

Bertha Mokone's education history begins in 1996 when they obtained a Diploma in Electronic Engineering from Centurion University of Technology and Management. Following this, they pursued a Degree in Communication Science at the University of South Africa/Universiteit van Suid-Afrika from 2006 to 2011. In 2012, Bertha Mokone attended the University of Pretoria/Universiteit van Pretoria and studied Digital Forensics and Investigations for a year. The following year, in 2013, they returned to the University of Pretoria/Universiteit van Pretoria to focus on Project Management. In 2014, Bertha Mokone pursued an Honours Degree in Communication Science with a specialization in Media and Telecommunication at the University of South Africa/Universiteit van Suid-Afrika, which they completed in 2015.

In 2017, Bertha Mokone attended PM Ideas and obtained a certification in Project Management (CAPM). Then, in 2020, they obtained certification in Introduction to Law Non Lawyers and Law for Non Lawyers from separate institutions, signifying their interest in legal studies. Bertha Mokone's educational journey continues as they pursue a Master's degree in Business Administration (MBA) at Wits Business School, which is expected to be completed between 2021 and 2023.
