Odilo M. Rugamba

Odilo M. Rugamba is a seasoned DevOps/Data Engineer currently working at Irembo since 2022, where key contributions include designing and deploying a backup and disaster recovery system for over 12 million users and maintaining an on-premise object storage system. Prior to this role, Odilo founded Peak Labs, focusing on innovative computing solutions and served as a backend developer, specifically developing the backend for PeaKom and running a test for Mperekeza to address student dropout rates. Previous experiences include software engineering positions at Carnegie Mellon University Africa and Power for All, where significant projects involved developing time management systems and a PDF table extraction tool. Additionally, Odilo served as a back-end developer at RMSoft, enhancing system performance, and as a technical lead at the University of Rwanda's innovation center, where a team was established to develop a SmartID project. Odilo holds a Master's degree in Information Technology from Carnegie Mellon University and a Bachelor's degree in Computer and Software Engineering from the University of Rwanda.
