Vice Chair, Irena Global Council On Sdg7 at International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA)
Passy A. currently holds the position of Vice Chair for the IRENA Global Council on SDG7 at the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA) since February 2022 and serves as Africa Network Weaver for the Next Generation Foresight Practice at the School of International Futures (SOIF) since January 2021. Additionally, Passy A. acts as Regional Focal Point for East & Southern Africa within the United Nations Major Group for Children and Youth until April 2024, focusing on amplifying youth voices on energy issues. Passy A. is also a member of the SES 2023 Advisory Board for Student Energy, providing strategic advice for the summit. Prior experience includes a role as Programme Officer at the Society for International Development from May 2017 to August 2020 and Security Research Officer at L'Equipe and Security from January 2015 to June 2016. Passy A. served as President of IDIS Forum for International Affairs (IFIA) from January 2014 to March 2015. Educational qualifications include studies at the University of Sussex (2021-2022) and the University of Nairobi (2012-2015).
