Dr Spyridon Damilos

Dr. Spyridon Damilos is a seasoned professional in chemical engineering and risk management, currently serving as the Risk & (Nano)Safety Group Leader and Risk and Safety Engineer at IRES since December 2020, where Dr Spyridon is the project manager for the EU-funded Horizon 2020 project Carbo4Power. Previously, Dr. Damilos worked as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at UCL from July 2019 to November 2020, focusing on the design and development of autonomous manufacturing platforms for nanomaterial synthesis, as well as managing the Manufacturing Advanced Functional Materials project. Dr. Damilos has extensive experience in the construction chemicals sector, holding multiple roles at Penetron Hellas, and has contributed to projects in biomass technology and military supply operations. Dr. Damilos holds an MBA from Hellenic Open University and a PhD in Chemical Engineering from UCL. Further education includes Master's degrees in Energy Production and Management and Chemical Engineering from the National Technical University of Athens.
