Brian Jones

Brian Jones is a seasoned scientist with extensive experience in molecular biology and RNA analysis. Currently, Brian serves as a Senior Scientist I at Iris Medicine, following a tenure as Scientist III at Sangamo Therapeutics, Inc., where key achievements included co-developing a custom RT-qPCR analysis pipeline and optimizing RNA extraction methods. Prior roles encompassed research at Yale University as a Postdoctoral Research Associate and completion of a Ph.D. in Cell/Cellular and Molecular Biology at Brown University, where significant research focused on somatic piRNA pathways in Drosophila. Earlier career steps included various quality control positions at Enzymatics, demonstrating expertise in assay design and team management.
