Peter Scanlon BSc CEnv is an experienced procurement and sustainability professional with a strong background in environmental science and forest management. Currently serving as Procurement Manager for Buildings & Industrial at Irish Distillers since August 2021, Peter oversees procurement related to buildings, civil works, M&E, and industrial equipment. Previously, Peter held the position of Category Manager for Operational Efficiency and Contract Management at Irish Water, focusing on asset operations and equipment. Prior experience includes serving as Sustainability Manager at Skanska, where Peter contributed to major capital delivery alliances across water, power, and gas, and worked on significant civil engineering projects such as Crossrail. Peter began a career as an Environment Advisor at JMS Tunnelling and holds a BSc in Environmental Science from University College Cork and a National Diploma in Technology in Forest Management from Galway-Mayo Institute of Technology.
