Phd Researcher - Injury Epidemiology, Prevention & Implementation at Irish Rugby Football Union

Lauren Guilfoyle, MISCP, currently serves as a PhD Researcher in Injury Epidemiology, Prevention & Implementation at the Irish Rugby Football Union (IRFU) since January 2022, and as a Sports Physiotherapist at the Sports Physiotherapy & Athletic Rehabilitation Clinic (SPARC) since August 2023. Prior experience includes roles as a Brand Ambassador at Sports Direct, Lead Physiotherapist for Cork Constitution FC, and teaching anatomy as a Teaching Assistant at the University of Limerick. Lauren has also worked as a Team Physiotherapist for the Ireland Senior Women's Basketball team during European Qualifiers and held several positions with various GAA teams. Lauren's educational background includes a Doctor of Philosophy in Irish Rugby Injury Surveillance and a Master's degree in Sport and Exercise Psychology, both from the University of Limerick, where a Bachelor's Degree in Physiotherapy was also obtained.
