Marie Kierans

Marie Kierans is a seasoned communications professional with extensive experience in journalism and media production. Currently serving as Communications Officer at the Irish Wheelchair Association since May 2023, Marie previously worked as a Producer and Journalist at LMFM Radio from September 2014 to October 2022, notably producing the flagship current affairs program, The Michael Reade Show. Marie's career includes a significant tenure as a Columnist and Feature Writer for the Irish Sunday Mirror and as a News and Feature Journalist for the Irish Mirror Newspaper. Marie made history as the first female editor of the Drogheda Independent and has held various journalistic roles since the 1980s, demonstrating a commitment to impactful storytelling across numerous platforms.
