Brian Wilcox

Brian Wilcox has extensive experience in the field of robotics and software engineering. Brian is currently working at iRobot as a Principal Software Engineer, a position they have held since March 2023. Prior to that, they worked at iRobot as a Senior Software Engineer from April 2020 to March 2023. Before joining iRobot, Brian worked at Intel Corporation as a Robotics Software Engineer from June 2018 to April 2020. During their time at Intel, they made core contributions to the ros-planning/navigation2 repository, focusing on the port, redesign, and enhancement of the ROS navigation stack for autonomous mobile robots. Brian also served as a Graduate Researcher at the UCSD Advanced Robotics and Controls Lab from September 2016 to March 2019. Additionally, they gained valuable industry experience as a Software Engineer Intern at Intel Corporation in 2017 and as a Summer Intern at MIT Lincoln Laboratory in 2015. Brian's research positions included roles as a Researcher at the Newman Laboratory for Biomechanics and Human Rehabilitation in 2015 and as an Undergraduate Researcher at the Biomechatronics Group - MIT Media Lab in 2015, as well as at the Newman Laboratory for Biomechanics and Human Rehabilitation from 2013 to 2014.
