Ken Drew

Senior Principal/lead Software Engineer at iRobot

Ken Drew has a diverse work experience spanning over multiple companies. Ken started at PTC as a Principal Software Engineer from 2002 to 2005. Ken then became a Senior Technical Consultant at PTC from 2005 to 2011, where they focused on improving user workflow and implementing user interfaces for Pro/Engineer. Ken also served as a Software Development Technical Manager at PTC from 2011 to 2013. After that, they joined BrickPad as an Independent Software Developer from 2011 to 2014, where they developed an iOS app called BrickPad for viewing and manipulating 3D LEGO models. Currently, Ken is working at iRobot as a Senior Principal Software Engineer, where they have held various roles since 2014, including Senior/Lead iOS Software Engineer and Principal/Lead iOS Software Engineer. In these roles, they have been responsible for the development and leadership of the mobile development team and the implementation of user experience for the Ava 500 Telepresence Robot.

Ken Drew earned a Bachelor's degree in Math and Computer Science from Bowdoin College, where they studied from 1990 to 1994. Ken then pursued a Master's degree in Computer Science at Brown University from 1994 to 1997.
