Isaac Vandermeulen is a Robotics Scientist at iRobot since January 2020, specializing in mapping and planning within the Robot Autonomy group for the iRobot Roomba. Previous experience includes multiple internships at iRobot, providing a foundation in robotics. Isaac has also served as a Teaching Assistant at Queen's University, leading tutorials and grading for various engineering and mathematics courses, in addition to working as a Research Assistant, utilizing functional data analysis for parameter estimation in non-linear differential equations. Isaac Vandermeulen holds a PhD in Robotics from The University of Sheffield, a Master's in Chemical Engineering, and dual Bachelor's degrees in Mathematics and Engineering Chemistry from Queen's University.
