Chris Young

General Counsel at Ironclad

Chris Young is the current General Counsel at Ironclad. Prior to joining Ironclad, they served as General Counsel at GoFundMe from October 2015 to September 2018. Before that, they were Head of Business Development & Counsel at OpenGov Inc from August 2014 to October 2015.

Young began their career as an Associate at Keker, Van Nest & Peters LLP from September 2010 to August 2014. Chris then left to join the U.S. Department of Justice as an Associate Director in Intergovernmental Affairs from July 2009 to June 2010. After their time at the Department of Justice, they worked as Deputy Associate Counsel for Presidential Personnel at The White House from May 2009 to July 2009.

In November 2008, they joined the City of Sacramento as Senior Advisor and Counsel to the Mayor until May 2009 when they transitioned to Obama for America as Northern California Deputy Finance Director until the election in November 2008. After the election, they returned to Morrison & Foerster LLP as an Associate from October 2005 to March 2007.

Chris Young attended the University of California, Berkeley School of Law and earned a Doctor of Law (JD) degree.

They work with Wyeth Goodenough - Chief Customer Officer, Dean Cormier - Chief Sales Officer, and Cai GoGwilt - Co-Founder & CTO. Their manager is Jason Boehmig, Co-Founder & CEO.
