Andrea Stancati M.d.

Andrea Stancati M.D. currently serves as the Senior Vice President and Head of Research and Development at Ironwood Pharmaceuticals, with a concurrent role as a Faculty Member in the PhD Course in Public Health Epidemiology, Statistics and Economics at Università degli Studi di Milano-Bicocca. Previously, Andrea held various leadership positions in renowned pharmaceutical companies, including Vice President at Nestlé Health Science overseeing Gastroenterology Global Clinical Development, and Vice President at Takeda managing global medical affairs in Gastroenterology. Other significant roles included global leadership in immunology and anti-inflammatory drug development at UCB and Novo Nordisk, and substantial contributions to clinical programs at Novartis and Hoffmann-La Roche. Andrea earned a medical degree from the Università degli Studi di Parma, followed by specialized training in Rheumatology at Università Politecnica delle Marche.
