David R.

David R. has a long and varied work experience. David began their career in 1999 as a Systems Engineer at Woodstock School, where they designed large-scale network systems in heavily mountainous terrain. In 2004, they moved to Siemens as a Senior Systems Engineer in Energy & Automation. In 2006, they joined Microsoft, where they held various engineering roles, eventually becoming a Director of Engineering. In 2016, they co-founded and became CEO of Biscuit Labs, where they made it possible for institutional landlords to offer their tenants amenities with a push of a button. In 2020, they returned to Microsoft as an Engineering Manager, leading a team of software and ML engineers in building a service to anticipate and protect the internet from phish, malware, ransomware and techscams. In 2021, they co-founded Irreverent Labs, where they currently serve as CTO. Additionally, since 2015, they have been investing in teams transforming value-chains and special situations.

David R. studied Computer Science and Math at the University of Cambridge and the University of London.
