Ana Gervassi

Ana Gervassi is a scientist with extensive experience in immunology and vaccine research, currently serving as a Scientist at IrsiCaixa since November 2024. Previously, Ana held the position of Principal Scientist at CALVIRI, where management of an 800-dog cancer vaccine trial and oversight of immune-based assays were key responsibilities. Ana's background includes roles such as Specialized Cellular Immunity Subcore Director at the Center for AIDS Research and Senior Scientist at the Center for Infectious Diseases Research, focusing on HIV and infant vaccine research. Earlier experience includes postdoctoral fellowships at the Benaroya Research Institute and Seattle Biomedical Research Institute, as well as a significant research role at Corixa Corporation. Ana earned a PhD in Pathobiology from the University of Washington, along with an MS in Nutritional Sciences and a BS in Human Physiology, Cell Biology.
