Philip Somarakis

Philip Somarakis is a highly regarded solicitor specializing in criminal and regulatory law, currently serving as the National Head of Regulatory at Irwin Mitchell since September 2023. With extensive experience in the legal field, Philip has held notable positions including Partner and Head of Regulatory Solutions at Ince & Co., and Partner and Head of Licensing and Gaming at Gordon Dadds. Earlier roles include leadership in licensing teams at Davenport Lyons and Blake Lapthorn, as well as serving as Company Secretary for the Association of Car Fleet Operators. Philip began a legal career as a Court Legal Adviser at Oxford Magistrates Court after earning an LLB Hons in Law from Manchester Metropolitan University.
