Anna-Sophia Wiekmeijer has a wealth of experience in the field of immunology. Anna-Sophia began their career in 2007 as an intern at Leiden University Medical Center, where they worked on a project titled "The effect of HPV-specific regulatory T cells on naïve and HPV-specific CD8+ T cells" under the supervision of S. J. Piersma and Prof. _____. Anna-Sophia then moved on to an internship at Leiden University/LACDR/Division of Biopharmaceutics, where they worked on a project titled "Regulation of MR expression: effects of genetic variants" under the supervision of M. D. Klok and Dr. _____. In 2008, they interned at the Netherlands Cancer Institute (NKI), where they worked on a project titled "Pre-clinical translation of MHC-exchange based protocols for adoptive T cell therapy" under the supervision of Dr. B. Heemskerk and Prof. _____. In 2010, they began working as a PhD student at Leiden University Medical Center, where they worked on a thesis titled "In vivo modelling of normal and pathological human T-cell development" in the lab of Prof. _____. Finally, in 2018, they took on the role of Director Immunology, Senior Scientist Immunology, and Scientist Immunology at ISA Pharmaceuticals.

Anna-Sophia Wiekmeijer obtained their VWO diploma from Atheneum College Hageveld in 2004, after which they attended Leiden University and obtained a BSc in Biomedical Sciences in 2007, followed by an MSc in Biomedical Sciences in 2009. In 2015, they obtained the BROK (Basiscursus Regelgeving en Organisatie voor Klinisch onderzoekers) certification from the NFU.
