Brigitte Burm

Brigitte Burm has been working in the pharmaceutical industry since 1998. Brigitte began as a post-doc at Universiteit Leiden in 1998, and then moved to Prosensa Therapeutics BV in 2002 as a Manager of Analytical Chemistry and QC. In this role, they were responsible for managing in-house and external analytics for the complete portfolio of Prosensa, as well as setting up an analytical development and QC department and acquiring a GMP license for the QC laboratory. In 2015, they moved to BioMarin Nederland B.V. as an Associate Director Analytical Development and Head QC. In this role, they were actively involved in the strategy and planning of the department activities and objectives, and was responsible for managing (GMP-)activities externally. Most recently, they have been working at ISA Pharmaceuticals since 2016, where they have held the roles of CMC Project Director and Project Leader CMC.

Brigitte Burm completed their PhD in Bio-organic Chemistry at the University of Amsterdam in 1998. Prior to that, they obtained their Msc in Organic Chemistry from the same university in 1994.
