Joshua Sorenson has a diverse work experience spanning various roles in the field of security programs and information technology. Joshua is currently serving as the Director of Security Programs at ISACA. Prior to that, they worked as the Senior Manager of Information Security Services and Senior Security Consultant at Rausch Advisory Services LLC. Joshua also founded their own company, My Tech Buddy, where they served as the Chief Tech Buddy.
Before starting their own venture, Joshua held the position of Senior Director of Global Security at Equifax. Joshua also worked at Delta Air Lines as a Manager of Information Security Officers, where they established and led the ISO organization and played a crucial role in implementing innovative strategies to solve security challenges.
Earlier in their career, Joshua served as a Security Advisor and Senior Systems Auditor at Delta Air Lines. Joshua also worked as a Principal IT Auditor at The Coca-Cola Company and held roles in internal audit and technology teams at John Deere and Kimberly-Clark.
Throughout their career, Joshua has demonstrated leadership skills, expertise in security programs, and a passion for leveraging technology to solve business problems.
Joshua Sorenson holds a Professional Certificate in Cyber Security from the Georgia Institute of Technology that they earned from 2016 to 2017. Prior to that, they obtained a BBA degree in Management Information Systems from The University of Iowa Tippie College of Business from 2004 to 2005 and a BBA degree in Finance from the same institution from 2003 to 2004. Moreover, they have additional certifications, including being a Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) and a Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), both obtained from the Information Systems Audit & Control Association (ISACA) in 2013 and 2011 respectively.
