Paulo Souza

Paulo Souza has extensive work experience in information security management, governance, risk and compliance. Paulo was the Chief Information Security Officer at CSU Digital, where they developed projects and managed a team, ensuring compliance with various standards such as PCI DSS, PCI-PIN, LGPD, and BACEN 4658. Paulo also conducted internal and external audits and negotiated with suppliers.

In addition, Paulo has held roles at ISACA as the Director of Education at ISACA BH Chapter, and at the PCI Security Standards Council as a Regional Engagement Board Member. Paulo has also worked as a Professor at Universidade Fumec and as a Security Consultant at TechBiz.

Their earlier experience includes a role as a Controller at Cia São Geraldo de Viação, where they were involved in ISO9001 certification and ERP-Magnus Datasul implementation. Paulo has expertise in decision support tools, statistical calculations, network management, and process automation in various environments.

Paulo Souza has an extensive education history and multiple certifications in the field of information security and technology management. Paulo earned a Technology Information Technologist degree from Centro Universitário Newton Paiva in 2001. Paulo also completed a Post-Graduation in Telecommunications Engineering and Networks from IETEC - Instituto de Educação Tecnológica in 2001.

In 2004, Paulo pursued further education and completed a Post-Graduation in Information Technology Management from Universidade FUMEC - Oficial. Paulo then obtained an Extension degree in Computer Law from Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais in 2005.

In 2006, they pursued a Post-Graduation in Information Security Management from Universidade FUMEC - Oficial. Paulo continued to enhance their knowledge in information security by completing the Information Security for Technical Staff program offered by CERT.br / Carnegie Mellon University in 2007.

Paulo further expanded their expertise in information security by obtaining the following certifications: Payment Card Industry - Internal Security Assessor (PCI-ISA) and Certified Data Privacy Solutions Engineer (CDPSE) from the PCI Security Standards Council and ISACA respectively.

Furthermore, Paulo has obtained various additional certifications in different areas, including cloud computing, IT service management, and threat defense. These certifications were awarded by notable institutions such as EXIN, Trend Micro, and Carnegie Mellon University.

Currently, Paulo is pursuing a master's degree in Administration and Business from Fundação Pedro Leopoldo, which they are expected to complete in 2024.
