Nikolaos Perakis

Nikolaos Perakis serves as the Lead Engineer for Combustion and Technical Project Manager for the upper stage engine at Isar Aerospace since July 2020, overseeing the design, manufacturing, and testing of the Spectrum's upper stage engine, AquilaVac. In addition, Nikolaos has been a part-time researcher at the Initiative & Institute for Interstellar Studies since 2014, focusing on interplanetary and interstellar mission design. Previous roles include Research Associate at Technische Universität München, Visiting Researcher at Stanford University, and Guest Lecturer at The University of Tokyo. Nikolaos holds a PhD in Aerospace Engineering from Technische Universität München and has completed multiple degrees in Aerospace Engineering and Physics from the same institution, along with high school education from Deutsche Schule Athen.
