Atsushi Yamada

Atsushi Yamada is the managing director of Quantum-safe Technologies at ISARA Corporation. Atsushi was previously a cryptographer and designer/developer of cryptographic software at BlackBerry from January 2012 to May 2015. Prior to that, they were a senior security solutions architect at Certicom from September 1997 to December 2011, where they provided security architecture and solutions for customers and presented security needs and solutions. Atsushi started their career as a researcher/developer at Sumitomo Electric Industries, Ltd. from April 1986 to August 1990, where they participated in OSI protocol standardization and implemented the OSI protocols.

Atsushi Yamada completed a Bachelor of Engineering in Applied Mathematics and Physics at Kyoto University. Afterwards, they attended the same school to earn their Master of Engineering in the same field. Atsushi eventually furthered their studies by obtaining a Doctor of Philosophy in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Waterloo.
