Ana Isabel Castillo Orozco

Ana Isabel Castillo Orozco is a dedicated researcher and educator currently serving as the Secretary at the ISCB Student Council and pursuing a PhD in Human Genetics at McGill University. With experience as a leader in biotechnology and a background in science communication, Ana has coordinated various initiatives aimed at promoting cancer research, including as a Cancer Campaign Ambassador for Cancer Research UK. Ana's academic journey encompasses a Master's in Genomic Medicine from The University of Manchester and a Bachelor's degree in Biotechnology Engineering from Tecnológico de Monterrey. Previously, Ana has also worked as a lecturer in biotechnology and bioengineering, and held positions in significant research environments, including EMBL-EBI and Universidad de Monterrey's Cancer Research Centre.
