Ashish Tulsankar

Ashish Tulsankar is currently the Head of Artificial Intelligence at iSchoolConnect. Ashish previously worked as a Solution Architect Artificial Intelligence at Quantiphi, Inc. from September 2013 to May 2018. During their time at Quantiphi, Ashish worked on a variety of projects involving artificial intelligence, data science, cloud computing, demand forecasting, fraud detection, customer complaint prediction, customer churn prediction, food safety score prediction, and spare-parts supply gap analysis.

One of Ashish's most notable projects was a demand forecasting project for a global fast-food services organization. Ashish was able to increase the accuracy of the forecast by around 25% over the existing system. Ashish also helped the client in rolling over the model inference pipeline at such a high scale in the production environment in United States.

Another notable project Ashish worked on was for a multi-billion & multi-national manufacturing Fortune 500 company. The project involved forecasting of sales, demand & volume of products for the company. Accurate forecasts from solution helped client with effective management of Procurement, Production and Supply chain. optimization of costs of capital. The solution consisted of various statistical and Recurrent Neural Network (AI) based models . My role involved right from initial business understanding, client liaison, ETL, model building & adjustments, quality check, feedback gathering, analysis and presentation of the results to business stake holders.

Ashish has also worked on projects involving customer satisfaction and fraud detection. In one project, they improved customer satisfaction in a Supply chain for a client by predicting the possible complaints on the newly generated order based on the route of delivery, origin, criticality of the product in a highly imbalanced data set. In another project, they worked on a fraud detection project for a leading insurance brand in US and was able to predict land mines and found low hanging fruits using machine learning.

Most recently, Ashish worked on a customer churn analysis project. Ashish predicted which customers will pay or stop paying next premiums and identified focus areas.

Ashish Tulsankar has a Master of Business Administration with a focus in Business Economics from the Department of Business Economics at the University of Delhi. Ashish also has a Bachelor of Engineering in Information Technology from St. Francis Institute of Technology (University of Mumbai), and a Higher Secondary Certificate in Computer Science from Sathaye College in Maharashtra. In addition, Ashish has several certifications from Coursera in Building Resilient Streaming Systems on Google Cloud Platform, Data Engineering, Big Data, and Machine Learning on GCP, Serverless Machine Learning with Tensorflow on Google Cloud Platform, Leveraging Unstructured Data with Cloud Dataproc on Google Cloud Platform, and Serverless Data Analysis with Google BigQuery and Cloud Dataflow. Finally, they have a certification from Google in Google Cloud Platform Big Data and Machine Learning Fundamentals.
