Sean Vaskov has a diverse work experience. Starting in 2010, they have held various roles with organizations such as SpanAfrica, Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA), Motiva Enterprises LLC, Shell Oil Company, Mitsubishi Electric Research Laboratories, and the University of Michigan. In 2010, they were a volunteer with SpanAfrica and an Engineering Intern with WMATA. In 2011, they held a Mechanical Engineering Intern role with Motiva Enterprises LLC, and in 2012 they were a Wells Engineer with Shell Oil Company. In 2020, they were a Summer Research Intern with Mitsubishi Electric Research Laboratories. Since 2016, they have been a PhD Student in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Michigan, developing reachability-based trajectory design methods. Most recently, in 2021, they became a Research Scientist with ISEE, an autonomous driving technology company.
Sean Vaskov obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 2012, after studying there from 2008 to 2012. Sean then went on to pursue a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Michigan - Rackham Graduate School, which they completed in 2021.
