Derek Johnson

Derek Johnson, PE, currently serves as Executive Vice President at ISG, a position held since May 2014, where the focus is on enhancing the company's competitive advantages and fostering employee owner growth. Previously, Derek was Vice President at ISG, serving on the Board of Directors and leading the Des Moines office to advance strategic growth. Earlier experience includes roles as Senior Engineer at the City of Urbandale, where site plans were reviewed and capital improvement projects coordinated, and as Civil Engineer at Schlotfeldt Engineering, supervising operations and managing municipal projects. Derek began a career in project engineering at Manhard Consulting, overseeing staff and focusing on infrastructure design. Derek holds a B.S. in Civil Engineering from Iowa State University, earned between 1999 and 2004.
