Catherine Claiter has extensive experience in the field of information management and information technology within the healthcare industry. Catherine began their career at the University Health Network as a Manager of Program Planning from 1998 to 2001. Catherine then joined Courtyard Group (formerly HealthLink Clinical Data Networks) as a Strategy Consultant from 2001 to 2005, where they focused on business development, account management, and project delivery. Catherine was known for their expertise in electronic health record solutions and played a significant role in leadership development. Since 2005, they have been with the Vancouver Island Health Authority as the Vice President and Chief Information Officer. In this role, Catherine oversees the organization's information management and information technology portfolio, with a specific emphasis on strategic planning, senior IM/IT management, and clinical change management. Catherine is recognized for their passion, drive, and commitment to capacity building through leadership development.

Catherine Claiter completed a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Health Information Science from the University of Victoria between 1994 and 1998.
